Well, it's brag time for me. DD, a freshman starting varsity, hit her first home run of the year this weekend! WooooHoooo! This was also her first ever over the 12ft tall 200ft fence of her softball career. It was so awesome!!!

Congrats to the Frog. You will have to make do with basking in her glory.

We had to make do with the rival complaining that "we" threw our P1 against them, when their P1 was done and being iced (agruably the strongest pitcher in the league, if not the region). Coach (who can usually be described as not the brightest ball in the bucket) told them "No, that's her sister. She's a freshman."

In any event, it will be an interesting season, possibly with some distraction from the usual HS BS, I mean, antics.

Travel Tms have crossed each others paths in a few Tournaments.Watched your DD's Tm play against a Knoxville or Nashville Tm.She's a very gifted athlete,with a solidstick.

She said thank You for the compliment. HS team will be in Hendersonville this coming weekend. Looks to be some very good teams attending. Can't wait till Sat morning Stone vs. Gibbs. Should be a preview for the state battle.

My dd hit her first HS homerun 3 weeks ago. What a great feeling. Her's didn't go over a fence, but a 4 bagger anyway!!!

frogs_mom, love to hear and and want to continue to hear - but let me tell you how the gods of luck mess with me. Everytime my kid goes long, and I say to someone 'wow, my kid went long", I just guaranteed her a 0-5 run of popups. Maybe you have a different way of fending off the evil gods of luck, mine include specific music, drinking out of the correct coffee cups, wearing the correct shirt (I have 4 that look alike, but there is a difference ) and the girls both hit helmets together before they go up to bat (looks like they are fighting but not). And dont tell me I am overboard on superstition, I just knocked on wood.

They do do their voodoo Have to step over the plate coming back from the circle. Certin hand shake has to be done a spesific way. After the k they throw down to first, ss, 2, 3, P and if you drop the ball you have to do a lap around the circle. I love those girls, they are the craziest bunch I know!
