Huge props to Ashley Hansen, Stanford, for being the only freshman. IMO, she won't win it, but has impressive #'s for a frosh- .427 BA & .641 SLG%

Why give 24 girls false hope.....The Sultaness of Swat, Ms. Katie Cochran is without a doubt, beyond any other consideration....the best...the most awesome....the finest....player....period....in the world.....not just in college.

I agree. Will be interesting to see if the voters can get past that she's not a pitcher with killer ERA's like Nelson or Lawrie, or even Penna.

Can you imagine what she could make as a batting coach/guest instructor? It's crazy that she is a math major too- super gifted & smart.

Lots of folks hit bombs against The Bleeding Sisters of Mercy....Ms. Cochran...with all due respect to Chambers, who is an excellent player....hits them when they count and off of the best pitching around. Chambers has not yet shown that ability. Nothing against her...but she couldn't carry Ms. Cochran's athletic equipment.

Im partial to T-Huff . The kid has always been a playa. Glad to see her excelling at this level.

Watching the last few weeks, I think it comes down to Cochran, Nelson, and Penna with the award going to Nelson.
