Received confirmation from a Thundercat parent that they indeed did pick up the ACE from the 00 SV Diamonds team.. adding her to their already solid pitchers is going to help this team become quite possibly the best in the state.
In addition to the Diamonds pitcher they also picked up the starting catcher/shortstop from the CATS who is an absolute stud on defense and especially offense.. and they also picked up the lefty pitcher from the CATS who will give the Thundercats a solid #3 or 4 starter.. looks like the Thundercats mean business this season pretty impressive pickups. CATS and Thundercats are scheduled to play the first week of Feb in the ASA fence buster tourney. Would be great to get Liberty out here so the top 3 teams can battle it out!

Glad to hear new about Cats and Thundercats, but respectfully,

those teams need to come to Phoenix, not the other way around.

Curious as to why you say that? "those teams need to come to Phoenix, not the other way around."
What's wrong with Liberty attending a tournament in Tucson? There arent many teams in 10u and 2 of the top 3 teams in 10u are from Tucson, and playing in the same tournament just throwing out there the fact that it would be nice to get them together...
The CATS are planning to attend 3 to 4 Phoenix tournaments in the upcoming months.. Not sure what the Thundercat schedule looks like.. with the scarcity of 10u teams in AZ I think the traveling from Tucson to Phoenix, Phoenix to Tucson should really go both ways, equally.. I guess it all comes down to which tournaments can get enough teams to join.

While Tucson might get offended , this constant "equal " playing of tourneys in both cities is

silly.

TCS is minute in Tucson with USSSA being nonexistent and sorry, ASA Tucson is just, well

screwed up ASA Tucson.

The new " Play Championship Sports " is a start but frankly there are more choices and better

quality tourneys and competition in Phoenix.

You would think these teams would come to Phoenix as much as possible.

Each year I hear of the 10U and 12U teams coming to Phoenix, but see very little.

I agree with all your points but only when it comes to 12u and up..
I think in 10u the quality of competition is pretty equal in Tucson and phoenix.
I mean there really are only a handful of teams in each.. Phoenix has Liberty, Wildfire, Hotshots,Xtreme and??? Tucson basically has Thundercats, Cats, Blaze and Cobras..
I just think both Tucson and Phoenix need each other to put a good 10u tourney together.
Its not like 12 or 14s where you have an abundance of teams in both cities..
That's just my opinion..

Times are off.. Cats played DiamOnds at 8 play Liberty at 11.
Diamonds over Cats 5 to 3
Diamonds picked up a great little pitcher from the Dawgz. She pitched a good game!
Diamonds also using their ex- ACE maybe to pitch against Liberty? Not sure but would be fun to see the top 2 pitchers in the state battle it out..
