I agree with you if this team is truly the best of the best in Tucson they will be hard to beat! Having 9 solid bats in the line-up is a nice advantage especially in 10U even vs the #1 from Liberty!

Although I heard Liberty's #1 threw a 2-3 hitter vs the Corona Angels who supposedly are the #3 team in CA! And looking at the scores in the Huntington Beach tourney they can score runs! They only managed 1 against Liberty's #1.

Should be a very entertaining game! I guess you would say Liberty would be the underdog!!! I'm going to try and get out and see it although kind of kills a Friday night!!

Let us know how that game goes! Good luck to all teams...

Wow a very well played game - Liberty wins in 7 innings 2-1!

Congrats Liberty and Team 2000 for a well played championship game!! It was a pitchers duel with Liberty pushing across the winning run on a delayed steal in the 6th. 8-)

Seems to me team 2000 shows poor sportsmanship in not staying for the awards ceremony to receive their second place medals. Yes, it was late but it was a flimsy excuse to say they had a long trip home instead of waiting the additional 5 minutes for the ceremony especially in light of the fact they stayed after for a team meeting that was longer than it took liberty for their meeting and trophy handout. BOO on team 2000 for sportsmanship!

Excellent job liberty! Sounds like one heck of a game
Its a shame Team .2000 didn't stick around for the trophy presentation... would they have stuck around if they would have taken 1st?? Hmmmmm... so was it the SV diamond pitcher against Liberty's ace?

Yes SV Diamonds ace vs Liberty's...............both throwing hard. The difference in this game was the Liberty aces change up! Both girls were blowing down batters with their speed. But especially in the later innings Liberty's ace was making the Team2000 girls look silly :o

Still a great game.........but I too am dissapointed to hear Team 2000 didn't stick around for the trophy presentation! What does that teach kids especially at this age?? Not sure I would be happy as a parent?

Liberty is #1.................
