Good question ,

Like I was saying on the 12U thread , not a lot of chatter and not a lot of action lately.

Looks like it might pick up with Hotshots-Mabrey and Wildfire playing next week.

Suncats just played and looked good.I was getting ready to pick on Hotshots-Devers and the

Killer Bees for not playing, but Hotshots are playing tomorrow and my understanding is the Bees

were going to play 16's last week , but the TD said no.

I know it's 16's , but they probably would have beat a third of those teams so don't know why

they couldn't play? Then again ? maybe that's the reason ?

Also thinking maybe Hotshots and Bees are resting up for June ?

12U state is in Tucson this year and I can just imagine what pool play and brackets will look like.

Well I know what the Tucson bracket will look like...Tucson teams sitting pretty in the brackets, like always. Then they wonder why nobody likes playing there!

As for the KB...I heard the same thing. Let them play "COACHES"!

it may have been called a friendly, but we paid tournament prices, played three pool/three bracket and received trophies for winning...

it was actually a tournament to raise money for the McClintock softball program...it wasn't put on by the "big three", but there were good games played

Well since you were so quick to point out how the "bucket" doesn't know about everything..?

Maybe you can be just as quick next time to post scores and the outcome...

From the friendly/tourney/fundraiser..? Thx

Well found out that they played in the "friendly" last weekend because they were removed right before brackets came out by director becouse of "complains" or maybe the 16year olds didn't wanna hurt the 12U team! Let them play "Coaches"

Well I happen to think it is a good thing that a tournament can slip by without being thoroughly predicted, discussed, dissected, and debated by the "experts".

But since the board has been dead lately, and you asked nicely, this was bracket play for McClintock tourney:

1st round
AZ Stars over Chargers
Suncats over Lady Dragons
EV Pride over Killer Bees
AZ Hotshots 97 over Vendetta

Semifinals
AZ Stars 12 Suncats 0
AZ Hotshots 97 6 EV Pride 0

Finals
Hotshots 8 AZ Stars 4

So now I expect you to be out at our tournament, eating red chili and giving field reports...

I also heard the Bees were denied at the last minute to play USSSA 16U, despite having won the last two 14U tourneys they played! Maybe it was the 16s didn't want to LOSE to a 12U?

I did see them missing some of their top players and still going toe to toe with the older teams.
