Bases are loaded and there are 2 outs. The count is 3 balls and 2 strikes so the runners are off with the pitch. Batter swings at a ball in the dirt that gets away from the catcher.

The catcher retrieves the ball and throws to first base to get the batter by a step. However, the runner from third has touched home plate before the ball is caught by the first base girl.

ASA rules, does this run score?

This is one rule that's universal for every baseball and softball rule set out there. No run can ever score when the third out of the half-inning is against the batter-runner before safely reaching first base.

The ASA rule is 5-5-B(1).
