USSSA/ASA roster questions A vs B

Trying to find some info on this. I have an ASA "B" player that was asked to guest on an "A" team that plays USSSA only. She will not be added to the ASA roster for this team only the USSSA roster. By guesting on this team does this affect her "B" status? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Speaking California, putting her on either roster will not affect her ASA "B" status especially not for 2009 as championship play is now over. "B" is rec. and she can play travel ASA or USSSA until March 31 2010 and at that point she will have to decide Rec. (B/C) or Travel (A) and is locked in the status until the team that rostered her is eliminated from Championship play or no longer continuing championship play and she can then "free agent" herself for the remainder of championship play on another single team.

What exactly is "championship" play? Metro's, Regionals, etc?

I would look into specifics into your area, but my friend lives in Dallas and yes, Metros on up is considered championship play (Metros, States, Regional, local Nationals, real Nationals) or any other tournament that allows you to advance to the next level of ASA tournaments.

The two organizations are completely separate and what happens in one should have no bearing on each other.

Championship Play is any in which participation can lead to a National Championship Tournament. Basically, State/Metros, Regional and NQ tournaments would fall into the category of Championship Play.
