Bat sounds wrong ? ... or rather, too right

Rule question? Get it answered here.

Here is a copy of the email in which the above mentioned memo came and was distributed to all ASA umpires.

Umpires,

Please read the attachment carefully. This is new bat technology that
is on the market and being used by many players are using this bat. It
has new technology in the inside of the bat to help it stay in
conformance with our bat standards. The bat sounds as if it is broken
when hit because of the slide mechanism inside this bat. As you can see
many umpires have removed the bat apparently because of this sound. This
bat is not broken but actually sounds like it is supposed to sound.
I have copied all your Local Association UIC's with this email also
but realize that many of the emails may not be up to date. Please share
this information with your association UIC, Commissioners and umpires as
soon as possible to help this problem from happening in the future.

It does seem as if this letter is referring directly to the one that MTR posted from TPS ... Well, if the bat meets ASA Standards it meets the Standards ... But it is such a distinct sound that even people that are oblivious notice ...

As far as a 'slide mechanism' being inside the barrel ... I don't know ... I remember back in the day ( late 70's early 80's ) my brother had a bat that had liquid inside the barrel ... The idea being that at the start of the swing the weight was in the handlle and at the end the weight was in the barrel ... He still couldn't hit sh*t ...

They missed a PS.

PS: Dear Bat Modders, in the future pick the LS Xeno for your modding projects.
