Batter swings at ball and misses. The ball comes off the catcher's glove and comes back towards the pitcher. Batter on follow through hits ball into fair territory.

What is the call?

Unless judged intentional, dead ball strike. If judged intentional, and any possible play could have been made on any runner, the batter is out for interference.

Any idea what the call would be in NFHS and NCAA?

Yep. Still a dead ball strike.

Oh? What rule would you use in NFHS?
For ASA, MTR used 7.6.K:
A batter is out When the batter hits a fair ball with the bat a second time in fair territory.
And cited Exception 3: When contact is made on the follow through after missing the pitch on the initial swing. Effect: the ball is dead, and a strike is called.
Thus the Dead ball strike.

But you can't use the corresponding NFHS rule 7.4.13 because it doesn't have an exception for a missed pitch and contact on the follow through.

I'm trying to figure out which NFHS rule to use and haven't found one I could hang my hat on.
