Rule Confusion

Not a very big deal, but had an umpire insist the girls have to wear a chin strap at the So Cal 18u PGF qualifier this weekend. Most girls did not have a chin strap, so they were all scrambling to borrow chin straps.

FYI - Premier is playing by NFHS rules and they do not require a chin strap. Hopefully this blue reads up on the NFHS rules and knows the difference in rules from ASA. Thus hopefully not affecting the outcome of a critical game.

If not having a chin strap "affects the outcome of a critical game" your team has bigger problems.
Besides don't most kids have chinstraps since they are required everywhere but HS?

I was under the impression that the only place chin straps are required is ASA...
There may be some I'm not familiar with, but I don't think straps are required in USSSA, USFA, NSA, NFHS, NCAA....
