DP/Flex and use of Courtesy Runners

So my Flex can come in to run for the DP position an unlimited number of times because she has never left the game. DP1 gets a hit in 1st and Flex comes in to run. 2nd inning DP1 reenters game and gets a hit. Flex comes in to run. DP1 has now left the game.
Can we have a new player DP2 enter the game in the 3rd inning to bat in the DP position and Flex returning to their original Flex spot in the lineup or do you lose the DP position when the original leaves the game?
DP2 gets a hit and Flex can come in and run for DP2, and so on with DP3...

Yes. This is actually a great advantage to some teams if they have a couple of kids who can knock the cover off the softball but can't run without tripping over their feet. If you have enough DP like players you can do this the entire game, with your speedy (presuming she is) flex player running for them every time.
