What's your point, the 3' lane rule has no relevance here.

The Batter Runner makes her own base path ... If that base path has her in fair terrortory between home and first and she interferes with a thrown ball, then INT can be called ... If she does not interfere, she can run where ever she wants to ...

Speaking NCAA only: The runners are returned to the base held at the time of the pitch.
