Davishield Review?

Do any umpires here use the Davishield Chest Protector? Looked online for reviews but the few I saw were baseball.

Ok. I will post a review. It is a pretty good chest protector. You feel a little more thump than my other Wilson but it is so much cooler. It also packs up smaller in my bag. I really like it.

My discussion with umpires who have tried this CP is limited to those working baseball, where pitch speeds will typically be much faster. To a man, they have felt that it offers inadequate protection and have discontinued its use.
Perhaps most telling is that major league umpire Gerry Davis himself does not use this protector. He uses the West Vest, which is kind of the "gold standard" for protection.
It might be adequate for softball with pitch speeds below 60 mph. But I'd rather be over-protected than under-protected. I use my Wilson Platinum for both baseball and softball.
