no call from ump..yet.
If I'm coaching - I have the catcher grab the ball and step on home.

The ball is live.

Is that what you getting at?

Well dropped 3rd strike is always a live ball.

The question is can the batter advance?
Yes. with 2 outs and 1B occupied on D3K, the batter can advance (BR).
With less than 2 outs and 1B occupied, the Batter is out.

Occupied = Occupied at time of pitch

That is why the best play by F2 with bases loaded on D3k and 2 outs is simply to touch home, because the Batter is now a BR and R1 is forced home. So that would be an easy out.

I hate it when they throw to first with mixed results and the easy out is lost .. so please spread the word :)
