Well ... at lower levels where the pitch may not have alot of movement on it ... or even an upper level change up ... maybe ... but if some gal is throwing smoke, I know I'd feel a little better with about 24" of stick between my hands and the contact point ...
... When I first saw it used, I did talk to one Coach who said bunting like that was the thing of the future and that he would have his gals doing it inside of a month ... over the next 2 years I never saw his team do it ...
