Firecrackers coming to San Diego in January 2014 !!!

We are proud to announce Firecrackers organization has expanded to the greater San Diego area !!!

Our mission is to provide a level of training to our players that ensures the highest level of social and athletic development and growth.

Playing the game professionally, having self-respect, and respecting others are the core values that this program was built upon. Being a Firecracker means you understand that you are certain of yourself, and very capable of playing this game. Most importantly, you are striving to make the decisions that will provide you happiness for the rest of your life.

Being apart of Firecrackers is an honor and the greater San Diego area has a large talent pool of high level softball players that commute to Orange County area on a consistent basis in order to join organizations that will give them top notch coaching and high level exposure now we have one in our own backyard. Thanks to Firecrackers organization San Diego has been giving this great opportunity to be apart of a long history of success from thousands of players who come from all over the U.S..

I am not sure who the author of this post about the Firecrackers coming to San Diego is but I am a bit miffed by some of the statements made about San Diego softball. We in San Diego certainly welcome the Firecrackers as any other organization starting up in our area. It gives the girls more of an opportunity to play this great game.

But to say that 'San Diego deserves a top organization' is certainly disrespecting the great organizations that are in San Diego at this time. We in San Diego have been very proud to compete at the highest level against all other organizations in SoCal and the entire country. And I believe we have done a wonderful job competing and taking San Diego players to the highest level. Our teams in San Diego have won many National Titles and placed players at every major college in the country.

The Firecrackers will find that the TNLs, Renegades, SoCal Breakers, SD Breakers, Power Surges, etc., will compete for players and are very well established in San Diego. We welcome the competition but certainly will not shy away from it either.

Very cool for San Diego. With so much talent going up north I am sure parents will be happy to keep it local. Last year at PGF Nationals, noticed so many San Diego ladies playing this great game for non Diego teams.

Good job Firecrackers, welcome to Diego. I am sure San Diego families will enjoy all the opportunities that are coming your way. Something lacking in Diego currently. (organizational workouts with college coaches, clinics, etc.)

You guys do relaize the Firecrakers started in San Diego. Gary Wardein was from San Diego as was his daughters. I believe they went to Torrey Pines HS. In those days, San Diego Power (not Power Surge), San Diego Thunder, ran by Simley now of Pastime, and San Diego Lightning and Rebels were the big deal. That was long before Rico won his National Chamionship and franchised the teams. Bill Smith also had a Firecracker 18&U Gold team back then based out of Anaheim and Robert Young once coached in the organization.Power Surge split off of Power, Renegades was founded by me and Adam Mena with Rosemary Gary. Then Mike HIll and Brandt split off of Sharks and became Breakers before Brandt split off again and became Socal Breakers. TNL came along and Ken Weimer also split off of RB Rowdies to form Legacy. etc etc etc

Lets not be haters. FC has provided allot of quality coaching for my daughter. Tony Rico has great clinics for all ages. Yes my daughter plays for FC -14's and we live in SD. The coaching is quality, the dues are the same or less, we played in SD. It comes down to coaching, wether your in SD or the OC. You're clearly hating on the larger organizations out pure ignorance!!!!
