I have to honestly say that you really know what your talking about. I couldnt agree more with everything you said.
The way I see it is that the Sorcerers and the Sting will be the teams to make it through to Nationals.
Grapettes, if they get pitching will get in and possibly the second teams for Sorcerers and Sting can get in just as well. I doubt if any other Nor Cal teams will get in this year.

Well MIH, I'm a little more optimistic than that, I think we can get 5 or 6 in, I really do, or lets say I hope we do.

All have a legit chance to do it, especially in Stockton, then in Washington, heck they even have a chance down in Lancaster depending on the draw and how hot they can get.

But I agree with you, a more consertative guess would probably be more accurate, but I'm still sticking to my guns and saying we will get just as many as last year which I believe was 4.

I think all the teams listed by DHB have a shot, but Sorcerer-Pete and Sting-Fano are gonna need a little more pitching help.

What happened to the four berths that were previously reserved for the top 4 finishers? If they didn't end up out west it's gonna be a bit tougher to qualify since the Busters and Crackers will surely grab a couple of the spots.

ya i heard that they were no longer giving births out to the top 4 finishers which really sucks becasue usually 3 out of the 4 teams are cali teams which means that its going to be alot harder for the nor cal teams to qualify from now on

Great catch on the teams that went to nationals last year no disrespect intended to any of the programs that got it done last year that I didnt mention, I'm getting old.

Yeah, I personally do not like that rule change, I believe there should be some reward for a top finish at such a tough tournament, but oh well. It does make that Lancaster qualifier a beast that is for sure.

My thing is I'm tired of our teams just going to nationals I want someone to actually do what the Sting did and get something done down there. A top ten finish for the Sting last year was impressive, now I hope one of our clubs can break that top 5 and ultimately bring home the championship.

I think the Sorcerers and the Sting have the best chance. Sorcerers will get stronger with hitting adding Arioto. I am still not sold on their pitching even with her and their defense overall.
Sorcerers have choked the last couple of years in Gold Nationals with highest ever finish 17th before that. Mumma did win 18U twice but that was a watered down 18U division when everyone was playing Gold as is today. Can he finish top 5? I think he has a 25% chance, 50% chance to finish top 10 and 75% chance to finish top 20. Sting does have a deep senior led team , they do have defense and the big lefty. Perales finished 7th last season without Arioto and few of his top players because of injury. Admiral coaching job. Offense lacks some consistent power hitters. I rather always side with defense. I will say 35% chance for Sting to finish top 5, 65% chance to finish top 10 and 90% chance to finish top 20. I will be watching them again in stockton this weekend. I hope they will play each other again.

You are all off base. Camuso is too old and can not play. Fluerry is a little banged up and wants to rest is the summer.Ashley Decker (Cal) has a much better bat. Kekuhena is not coming back. That would not made much sense anyway. Alex Robben (Cal) has a better bat and is a better defender. Val is back and Jess Moore is also back. The top 9 will be Allard (NW) Decker (Cal) Robben (Cal) Wallace (Cal) Moore (Miss) Burns (Stanford) Val (Cal) Williams (Fresno) Suitos and Kosteba. Val and Moore will do all the pitching. Willams will hit when Val is not pitching That is a pretty good line up. Very fast.

Very interesting percentages MIH, no arguement here I hope either one of them can crack that top 5, and with a little luck and good fortune bring home that championship. And who knows who else from Nor Cal will have a shot when it is all said and done, you never know who gets hot at the right time which is what this is all about. As for top finishes I believe the San Jose Strikkers(Sorci) when he had Amanda Williams is the only other Nor Cal team I can think of in the last 10 years to finish top 10, but I could be mistaken. Lets hope we get a couple this year, I know we have the talent to do it.

Sorcererfan no arguement here with your assesssment, I mean I think Sanoe can hit with anyone in the country and would be a welcomed addition to any line up including the Sorcerer but I agree with your sentiment which is one I have echoed before, where would she play? And over who? Again I agree with you, Sorcerers top 9 will be able to play with anyone in the country and if they can get hot at the right time and get a little luck they can make some things happen this summer, good luck to you and the Sorcerer.
