Triple Crown World Series * Brackets Posted

by boboso » Thu Jun 18, 2009 5:19 pm

I'm curious, is Voodoo really worthy of all this talk? I've looked at the previous 12u polls done by Bracketologists and this team is nowhere to be found in the top 40. I've been to several friendlies this year and haven't seen hide nor hair of them. Matter of fact, first time all year I've heard anything about them....Sounds like a lot of hype

What do you know then?

I have seen plenty of So Cal travel teams that have no business in the A bracket. :o If I remember correctly last year at Triple Crown, Hot Shots & Neveda Lightning were taking out a lot of So Cal teams in the Gold & Silver brackets of the B division, if I remember correctly Voodoo was there last year & didn't take it with their 95 players (and the coach has said he only had 4 returners this year). There were a lot of So Cal teams that got knocked out by teams from other states. They went in their with that attitude, because we are from So Cal we should win this game since you are not, and looked pretty silly for having that mind set.

I agree with a little overhype with Voodoo, but the pitcher they got from No Fear is a difference maker for the B division. I still think the other teams don't care who they got & are not going to lay down for them. Just because Heybucket is crowning them the winner of the B division.

From all of the posts. I want to be the first to give congrats to Voodoo for winning the B division. With all of the props being given, if they don't win the B division outright, the tourney would be an all out failure.

Just to clear up things Voodoo never got anything from No Fear we cut that pitcher after Fresno Classic because parents issues, she tried out on some other teams and end it on Voodoo. and if she is the difference on B, yes she is. she is a good pitcher with a lot of talent No Fear wish her good luck, also Mark and the Voodoo players.

Jesus,

Were the other five players that "quit" also cut due to parental issues?

The A division teams are consistent at what they are, all have a solid 9 girls all the way through & for the most part can beat any of the other teams there on a good day. Of course some teams have more talented players than some of the other teams, which makes them favorites in their respective pool.

As for the B division all those teams are inconsistent & all the teams that you mention as good teams, all are inconsistent. They have a strong core that can play against any other team, but all those teams have holes in their top 9 & I am sure they are well aware of it and know going to the A bracket, those holes will be exposed & it is a short trip to Utah. Whereas, in the B bracket all the other teams are in the same boat, so you can probably mask those weakness that you have in your top 9.

The difference between A and B is that the stud B player would be the "hole" if playing on any decent A team. Likewise, many reasonably solid A teams don't have any players who could hope to make one of the elite A squads.

And don't I owe you a drink? Thought you were going to collect up in Fresno...

That has got to be on the top ten list of low class posts by a coach. Way to go. After you go kick a puppy get yourself a cold one.

Agreed, poor taste.
