Saw they re here at the TCS TPC. They're 2-1-1 so far. Wins vs Sun Cats Jimenez and Explosion Mays.

Mercado Greg is also here, they re 1-1-2 with a win over Explosion Mays.

Batbusters Shockey 1-3 with win over CA Jordan/Edwards

Mercado Hovermale 3-1 with win over CA Perez, Cal Cruisers Couette and Ohana Tigers Helms

Firecrackers Brashear 2-2 with wins vs Sun Cats Jimenez and Mercado Hovermale

American Pastime Velasquez 4-0 with wins over LTG, BB Shockey, Firecrackers Brashear and American Athletics Nielson

So Cal As Limo 2-2 wins vs Firecrackers M80 and CA Ollison

Firecrackers Brashear/Thornburg 2-1-1 with wins over Mercado Tidd and EC Bullets

8 of my initial top 10 are here in the TCS The Players Classic

Dirtdogs Pickering may have been the most impressive team at The Players Classic as they went 4-0 with wins vs 3 of So Cals finest teams.... Mercado Athletics Greg, Corona Angels Tyson and Firecrackers Brashear

Okay so most of the events that you all are listing are Showcase formats which is basically a glorified friendly. Hard to say who the better squad is as one team bay bat 11 and the other bats only 9 & so forth. Also maybe one team is rotating pitchers and positions as again it is a showcase format. The PGF Shoot out would be a good indicator & any other event that has a Bracket format.

Confucius Say- Team that is king of Friendly is scatching head in parking lot of Tourney......... :?

Is confucius coaching a team? :)
So in showcase format or pool play format some coaches play everybody to give people looks and playing time. Are they risking losing by doing this or are they showing they can win no matter who is on the field?
Please explain, how come there are teams that play everybody and still have the greater winning average?

That is a simple answer- Some teams may have more depth than others? I have seen teams over the years that may have a very strong starting 9 but drop off a little on the bench. But in showcase / freidnly or pool play a coach may feel & they should is to give the entire team a shot in hopes that they may develop those players too.

In thinking it over it actually raises a bigger question / issue for all So Cal teams .

I don't know if CA Tyson used all 20+ of their players in each game of the TCS TPC, I didn't see any of their games. Also not sure if Mercado Greg used all of their pitchers

I did see DD Pickering and American Pastime (the 2 teams that went 4-0 and got champions plaques) play a few games and did see that they used all of their players, in fact AP switching pitchers is why they beat FC Brashear 8-4 Instead of 8-1.

Either way, this is why I won't even attempt to rank the teams 1-10, there are about 10-15 teams that are all better than all the others and on just about any given day those teams can all beat each other.

A TEAM is only as good as it's worst player, not its best. This isn't ancient Greece where each army's champion determines the outcome for the entire army.

If a TEAM does not want to be judged on players 11-24 on their roster then maybe they shouldn't have that many girls on their roster.
2 catchers gives you a roster of 10, 3 pitchers, who pitch only, makes 12...if they're not PO's then you're back to 10 or 11. Add a couple rabbits for the battery who may not run bases too well and you hit 14

What's the purpose of 15-20+ players other than
A. Making sure there are fewer good players for other teams
Or
B. To make more money on the 200 a month dues plus all the other fees associated with the squad

You don't get to have 15-20+ players on the roster and then make comments like, "you can only count our best 9" while collecting money from your worst 12
