Why are there more travel teams out of OC area than anywhere else in Southern California? Are there more families and kids in OC? Affluence? more fans? Just wondering...

See my QOD from a few months ago. Which area has the toughest teams.
IMO OC TB is big because of affluence definitely (more $ for private lessons, time off work), but also culture for youth sports (goes back many years, High School competition), opportunity for games (weather, more teams/ competition, etc), center of So Cal (short drive to San Diego, IE, Ventura County, Antelope Valley, Arizona/ Vegas, games within OC, , etc.) Apparently IE has more successful teams though, with players coming from OC.

For the big organizations.
Firecrackers, So Cal Athletics and Batbusters organizationally are based in OC.
Ohana Tigers, Choppers, So Cal Raiders based in LA g
Corona Angels, Mercado Athletics, American Pastime based in the IE.
Power Surge, Breakers based out of San Diego.

Not sure where Explosion is from, there all over

But there are teams within those organizations from each area.and girls on those teams from each area as well.

The Brashear wing of Firecrackers are mostly based out of the IE. The Flores wing of Explosion is out in the IE as well. There are also Batbuster and So Cal Athletics teams put there
In the OC there are Explosion teams and Ohana teams

When my son went to HS, half the players at Orange Lutheran, Mater Dei and Servite were from the IE, they don't have big private schools out there

We need to make this happen! Battle of So Cal. IE (760) vs. OC (714) vs. San Diego (619) vs. LA (323) vs. SGV (626) vs. Valley (818) vs. South Bay (310/562) vs. Ventura County (805) vs. Antelope Valley (661) vs. High Desert

12u, 14u, 16u & 18u. 2 teams from each area and each age group gets nominated and plays for free. Double Elimination. Paid for by spectators and vendors. TCS you listening? 8-)
