I posted this somewhere else and now I will post it here

BTW I was just thinking about what you guys were saying, Besides ASA Nationals Fresno Force tourney is the best tourney in California and probably in the country. How can you say it is not better than state. All the teams from So Cal state are there plus all the teams from Nor Cal State are there. Fresno Force Tourney should be a qualifier. ASA get off your butt and step up before Triple Crown leaves you behind..

Yes numero uno I agree with you. But you can't run a 48 team tournament in 2 days sorry I still take states over fresno. If this was a 3 or 4 day tournament wow it will be the best tournament in California. And yes ASA get off your butt and step up.

12's, thats true. But, in 14's, you do miss the big dog older teams. But, all the top younger teams are there....

luckyone, look at the Classic Brakets for this year. I have 48 teams playing in two days.

Intel

I love how you are doing the pools. Teams will have to step up and play. I am not sure how I feel about bracket play on Sunday. The number one seeds are definitely rewarded and some may feel the luck (or unluck) of the draw in pool play makes a huge difference. But since I am more of a rookie to all this; what do I know? I am very impressed with the format you came up with.

Nzane you are right about 14's state is better due to Hi School  The 2nd year 14's are not there...

12U So Cal State you get 3 pool games and double elimination, correct?

So you are garanteed 5 games and Fresno you are garenteed 4 games.

So you get 1 more game but you don't get to see the Nor Cal teams

Either way a non qualifier that brings in 48 teams in April is somethimg to be excited about.

Who is going to start a poll to see if ASA should make Fresno Force Tourney a qualifier?

You could make Fresno Force a qualifier for the 10u and 12u, but having teams missing for 14u due to HS is eliminating opportunities to those teams. Wouldn't be right.

SIGH, wish we could be there.
