Stacey Nuveman and Jessica Mendoza are hosting the Nuveman/Mendoza Clinic Series this Saturday and Sunday at Moorpark High School, Moorpark, CA
Sunday is the Bound 4 College Exposure Camp with top collegiate coaches attending.
The list includes representatives from Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, San Diego State and more.
The players will get a taste of what is taught in college and can ask questions to the coaches.
"I really like the interaction that takes place," Mendoza said. "The idea is to have every coach teach their big thing. We are hoping these girls go to that next step, not just hitting, but doing a lot more advanced stuff. Plus, the girls get a chance to showcase themselves in front of the coaches."
The Bound 4 College Exposure Camp is something Mendoza knows is a hot commodity on the market.
"What I have learned is it's so much about the scholarship these days, which is unfortunate," Mendoza said. "Girls now are just playing and not even training or practicing. It's how many games can you slam into a year. But hopefully here, they can learn that skills and fundamentals are still very important."
