Rock-it had a good NSA A state tournament, and some of the best teams had a bad tournament. Simple as that, they hit it at the right time. I would put Rock-it at #5 at best. Play that same tournament again, same teams, and the results would be completely different.

WP Diamond Dusters #1, best by far although they have struggled a little lately.

Additionally, drop Seminole Warriors significantly. They lost badly in USSSA states, and have termoil in the group. They are still a competitive team, but not dominate. They were beaten by several unranked teams.

Thanks for the input Madskilz. This has been an interesting spring season. And I welcome any and all input, this is all simply for fun and to get me away from work every so often. What's Letterman say, "it's just an exhibition, not a competition, please no wagering!" We'll watch for the NSA World Series results as the Dusters, Rock-it, Orlando Aftershock, Bartow Intimidators, and Blazers '96 travel to Chattanooga. We'll also keep track of the USSSA World Series at Disney the last week of July as the Jacksonville Storm, Wellington Wild - Blue, South Florida Crush, the Ga. Worth Cobras '97 and a Canadian team, the Panthers from Pleasant Hill (12 teams total) battle for the USSSA crown.

I thought Jax Storm folded. 2 of the Storm players were playing on the Orlando Aftershock team in NSA A. Maybe a tactic to avoid protest.

Niiiiiice... this forum has gotten a little spicy. No one is going to agree with the rankings and thats what's fun about it. At least someone is taking the time (albeit at work) to post them and stimulate some thought. So for that, thank you.

I agree the Dusters are number 1, but not by the overwhelming margin maddskilz contends. For the same reason the Rock it won. Any team can get hot and run the table. Or a pitcher can have a great tournament and carry a team. The Rock-It deserve to be in the top 5. They had a really nice tournament, but did not fare well in the other state tourneys so a #1 ranking was a bit generous.

but considering how the year went, the rankings are not that far off.

1. WP DD
2. Olrando Aftershock 96
3. Miami Stingrays
4. Osceola Overdrive
5. Rock-it
6. Warriors
7. Plant City Raiders
8. Wellington Wild
9. Orlando Flames
10. Team FLA

So, lets bring top ten together, call it an invitational, play a straight double elimination and crown a champ. Have a real blind draw and not have NSA pit teams they want against each other.

Oh yeah - and follow the roster rules outlined in the rule book, not the FL NSA version which allows guest players.

As the NSA nationals wind down...look where our FLA teams are....

DD - Will finish strong
Orlando AS - beat by DD in winners bracket ... will finish top 10
Bartow Intimidators - Doing well, but in losers bracket - top 15 or so
Rock-it - out early, 2 wins in losers bracket

So, I think I still have the rankings correct but I will concede that it is hard to tell based on not knowing the other teams in the tournament.
