Interesting to look back at this a year later. Impact Silver, Fire Black, Xtreme, and Cobras all failed to qualify, although Impact Silver did win a rain-shortened GA ASA state tournament. Mad Dogs and Crusaders won both a Georgia berth and qualified for the Hall of Fame, Vipers Dean qualified at a national qualifier in Wilmington, and Vipers Berry qualified at Southeast Regionals.

Don't forget the Kennworth Bandits '94 won a berth at the 12U ASA Southern Nationals giving them easy passage to MIdland Tx last year.

Interesting point. Impact Silver qualified for 16U nationals this year by winning 14U Southern Nationals last year so I'll be interested to see how they do at nationals in comparison to Bandits' results last year. I was told that Bandits played some decent games at nationals in spite of their placement, beating 93 Victory USA and losing to 93 Corona Angels something like 10-5 in elimination play. I think they were eliminated by a Mississippi or Alabama team. I think Vipers Berry and Dean and Mad Dogs had some good results as well.

I firmly believe that for Georgia teams success at nationals begins with your draw. Draw top California teams and you'll likely go home early. Our second elimination game in 2007 12U nationals we were run-ruled by 94 Corona Angels, who finished 3d that year. Also played Victory USA in a pool game and they finished first. If nothing else, the girls got to play some good teams.

Is that girl from one of the Vipers team named KayKay still pitching? I heard she was calling it quits after nationals last year? She was the real deal.

She went to Georgia Impact. The reason i know this because the coach (Buster) and his family are coming down from Georgia to visit Cali and his kid is pitching for me this weekend if the rain stays away. He was allready strong but now with her it will be hard to beat him.

Buster and his group lost to a strong 97 Ga. Force 2-0 today at the ASA South Atlanta tourney. Do not know the final results. Last I heard Impact was up on Force in the ship 2-1.
