10U- Mattoon Pride, Central Illinois Diamonds, Central Illinois Storm, QC Firebirds, Heartland Havoc should be the favorites to win state. That entire BNGSA team moved up to 12U so not sure what they have coming up to replace it. Should be interesting to see who steps up with those great Mattoon, Firebirds, Angels, and Havoc teams moving up to 12U. Seems to be a wide open field at this point.

There is no 14u Southern Force. The Illinois Force is a 18u Gold team and an awesome one at that! They are going to be tough to beat.

This topic is discussed et nasium up here in Northern Illinois. I must say that there is a huge difference b/w the Chicago area and the rest of Illinois. Having watched my daughter compete against the Central and Southern teams I would love to see a real state championship instead of the "Metro" or "State" winners.

10's - Too early to tell.

12's - IL - Both QC Firebird teams and EP Express will be 3 top teams
Metro - Edge Chaos and Wasco will be 2 but it's still early to know who has what

14's - IL - Southern Express, Heartland Havoc, Force 97 & perhaps QC Dreamers
Metro - Wasco 97 (SG), Crown Point Bulldogs, TP Rockers Gold, Homer Hawks - with others very close.

16's - Firebirds 95 is the clear favorite

The 16u BNGSA Angels were very strong last year, I would expect them to be strong again this year. Unless they lost key players but they had two good teams (younger one being better).

You're correct, should have had them there, they both will be very strong.

12U Metro-Chaos, Bulls/Sox looked the toughest in the fall.

Just how many 12U/11U QC Firebird teams are there?

On the USSSA site it has at least four listed, 3 @ A, 1 @ 11U.

Another 10U team to watch is CIGS Rebels. . .

In 14U there is a new team in east central Illinois, that should make some noise. . .Premier Fastpitch. . .

The Quad City Firebirds have an 11U team and 2- 12U teams this year. For a total of 3 11/12U teams.

Didn't know CI Diamonds were still around. Where are the CI Storm out of? There is also a new team out of the Champaign area at 12U with a bunch of St. Joe kids at 12U--Champaign Dream.

Fuddrules, which Edge Chaos team from Metro in the 12s? The '00 team was decent last year, I take it they moved up?
