The Diamonds knocked off the Firebirds 5-3 and the Firebirds beat the Diamondstorm 2-0. The Diamonds and Diamondstorm would not meet until Sunday afternoon in the Championship game.

After a hard fought 6 inning win over QC Firebirds in which the 2 starting pitchers combined for 1 earned run and 31 strike outs, it appeared as if the Diamondstorm were just simply out of gas vs the Diamonds in the title game as the Diamonds. The Firebirds would go on to blank the Sluggers, 8-0, in the 3rd place game to cap a really good weekend of great weather and even better softball by some outstanding 10 year old girls.
