Top 14U Chicago Area Teams for 2012-13

by B-Dad » Sun Aug 12, 2012 2:34 pm

Now that tryouts are done for most of the top organizations, who retooled (or kept what they had) and will come out strong this fall? Who are your top 5?

Heard two of the top 1st year 14u teams from last season Hawks - Judge and Crown Point will be playing 16U and Windmills - O'Connell broke up. If true, that changes the power structure at 14s quite a bit. Will the Chaos 99 team be strong when moving up from 12s to 14s? How will the Bulls-Sox team do as they also move up from 12s to 14s?

Rockers BU and Sparks will be tough, but watch out for a dark horse out by the border, Indiana Raiders and IOL merged and should be a good team as well

I think there could be a few surprises this year. A team from out west ( Wasco ) will be tough also. I know the Hawks and Sparks just add better players every year. What teams from the area have been invited to play in the National invitational in Elgin at the end of Aug ( Sorry forgot the name of the tournament ). Believe it has 14u through 18u playing with many teams coming from out of state.

I found the Tournament name for at the end of Aug., it's "Preps Plus Bownet Invitational".

With the Bandits and Hawks playing a heavy 16U schedule i would guess the teams to beat would be the Windmills, and the Outlaws both are very solid groups.

I have to believe you are thinking Downers Grove Outlaws as Illinois Outlaws was not that strong last year. Didn't run across Downers Grove Outlaws, they stayed away from ASA for the most part all season. Windmills? Which team?

\It's going to be an intesting new season coming up in 14's in the metros, With an already strong Ill outlaws organization team of 12's moving to 14's and from what i've heard MCconnell from the former Indiana Raiders Black has joined forces with 4-5 of his top players to form a powerhose first year of 14's with the Ill outlaws,,,looks intresting

B-Dad, you are kidding right, I didn't see the DG Outlaws in Moline earlier this month with the rest of the "A" teams, were they at Premier?

DG Outlaws regardless of where they played are pretty solid. I would definatly say in the top group at 14U next season! Beatable? Sure but it wont be easy.

okie dokie, let's get this thread goin a little.........

the outlaws have 3 14u teams this year- all should be pretty good. will be interesting to see how the merger of the outlaws99 and raiders black plays out. Definitely some good managers between the 3 teams over there.

bulls/sox should pick right up where they left off at 12u last year

river valley rage looked good at 12u........wonder if they were able to keep the team together

crete crush are alive and kicking again after having to split up last year due to a few girls running off to team energy in indiana.......that grass obviously wasn't greener seeing as how the team fell apart with only a month to go in the season

as we get into september we should start to see how things will unfold as tournaments come about...........
