2012 NFCA All-American Teams

STARKVILLE, Miss.- Jennifer DeMotte and Casey Williamson collected their second All-American nods in as many days, with both earning First Team All-American honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Wednesday.

The duo, who were both named First Team All-Americans by Daktronics Tuesday, made UIndy one of three schools placing two on the All-American First Team, along with Kutztown and Alabama-Huntsville.

DeMotte's honor caps off a fabulous junior season for the pitcher/outfielder. The Indianapolis, Ind. native, the GLVC and Daktronics Midwest Region Pitcher of the Year, posted an NCAA Division II-leading 35 wins on the season, setting a new Greyhound record.

The UIndy career leader in wins and shutouts also set new single-season marks for strikeouts, shutouts and innings pitched this season. DeMotte tossed a pair of perfect games and another no-hitter in 2012, and has now earned three All-American honors in her steller career.

Williamson, owner of the most prolific offensive season in UIndy history, earned an outfield spot on the First Team. The Greyhound rookie was named both the Daktronics Midwest Region and GLVC Player of the Year, and the GLVC co-Freshman of the Year.

The true-freshman set the single-season marks for doubles (21), hits (81), RBI (55), runs scored (60), batting average (.455) and slugging percentage (.781). Williamson closed out the year just one steal away from the UIndy single-season record of 37, with her on-base percentage of .556 just below the single-season mark of .558. She also tied the second-place single-season mark with her five triples on the year.
