Congrats to all the State finalists

Some new names in the mix...only Andrean and South Putnam are repeat teams from 2011.

The CG semi state was treated to some great softball. Exciting games, very impressive pitching, key hits...just a great day of softball. CG has a beautiful facility. Not sure why there was a giant red/black T in centerfield though.

Ben Davis High School, 1200 N. Girls School Road, Indianapolis | Website
Dates: Saturday, June 9, 2012.
Admission: $9.

Home Team: The winner of the southern semi-state (second team below) is the designated home team in each game.

Class A | Lakewood Park Christian (26-5) vs. Indianapolis Lutheran (24-4) | 10:30 am ET
Class 2A | Adams Central (20-12) vs. South Putnam (30-0) | 1:30 pm ET
Class 3A | Andrean (27-4) vs. Edgewood (21-11) | 4:30 pm ET
Class 4A | Huntington North (22-7) vs. Plainfield (22-9) | 7:30 pm ET

Agree about the games at Center Grove on Saturday, at least the last two. To answer your question, red/black would be the school colors of the Center Grove "T"rojans.

I would like to say congratulations to all the teams making the finals, that's got to be really cool. I would especially like to throw a shout out to my fellow Seymour native and friend Mick Hammett, good luck to his Edgewood Mustangs. Good luck to some current and former teammates with Lutheran, Anna, Delaney, and Baylee, I'm proud of you guys!

Not really a question on that Turn Two. I knew what it signified, just didn't think it had a place in the semi state games. As a Greenwood grad (and now a Plainfield resident), I guess I could be a little critical of CG.

Given that the two later games were pitching duals, it was nice to see the offensive output the Rebels had in game one. After seeing that, it shows how much Courtney Collins was dialed in for Plainfield.
