Wow. Gators win today and stay alive in the loser's bracket. They eliminated a very tough Birmingham Thunderbolts team in a very close game. 6-5 . Great job Gator girls and Coach Nick. Keep it up...

Thanks "Juandoe" for the kind words! Firecrackers are an amazing group!!!!!! Our kids competed hard and were able to pull off an AMAZING come from behind win against a VERY VERY strong Birmingham Thunderbolts teams.

Birmingham Thunderbolts- 5 in ITB

Trailed 4-1 and made a run to tie in the 5th. Tied 4-4 after 6th with time out. We scored 2 in ITB and held Bolts to 1 getting the 3rd out by strikeout with bases loaded.

I just have to say thank you to everyone who watched our game with the Bolts. This was not only the greatest 10U softball game I have ever witnessed or been apart of, but the most exciting game period. There must have been 300 people from all over the country (different teams, parents, and coaches) to create an unreal atmosphere. THANK YOU to everyone.

Now let's see if we can go get another one!!!! GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!

Gators 2001 ASA Championship run ended today in the 2nd game of Championship Sunday! Girls just flat ran out of gas and lost to a strong LA Rippers team. Great run Gators!!!!!!!

I watched the Gators / Power Surge game but missed the Gators / Thunderbolts. If the details about the Thunderbolt game are as described, then I'd have to say the Gators played 2 of the most exciting games of the tournament. Gators earned the win against Power Surge but it wasn't decided until the VERY end. Power Surge trailed most of the game but put up a huge fight in the 7th with a two out rally started by their 9th hitter to get bases loaded....nothing like your 4th hitter up with bases loaded and the game on the line. There were many spectators and big cheering going on...very exciting. Congrats on your good run.
