All the threads on this subject are a couple years old. Who do you guys think ranks among the top pitching instructors in 2014 and going forward?

Coach Steve Bunn is a great pitching Instructor.
He works out of Hit Factory in Noblesville.
text 317-319-8104 to set up a lesson.
Steve pitched mens pro fastpitch for 27 yrs.
a little known fact......he's in the ASA Hall of Fame!

Casey Clutch is also a top Instructor in Indiana.

My daughter goes to Dave Edwards at Home Plate on the southside of town. Dave is great with the kids and my 10u daughter loves going to him for lessons.

My 10 yr old goes to John Feld and we are very happy with him. She was starting from ground zero, and 6 months into it, he is still focused on getting the mechanics right. He only recently taught her a change-up, and then only because she had hurt her finger and couldn't throw hard for a week. He has a really good eye for picking up when she starts to slide into a bad habit and then fixes it before it gets too far. She has progressed tremendously, and will be pitching for her travel team this coming year.

I've seen Steve Bunn recommended a lot too, but that was a lot further drive for us and our local high school coach had recommended John. I know John and Steve know each other and that they talk, and believe their teaching is similar. I also noticed that Casey Clutch includes John in her "Thanks" page for his past instruction of her.

One of the other things i like about John is that he can actually pitch, and can show my daughter what he is talking about. He still throws pretty good for a guy in his 70s and will regularly take the ball and throw some to show my daughter what he is trying to get her to learn. Whenever he does, I have to pay attention catching as he can still bring it and make it dance pretty good.

John teaches out of Fuel Performance in Indianapolis (near Pendleton Pike & 56th St.)

Someone wake Frigate up, I'll make the popcorn.

Back to the top... Who is coaching the top pitchers ??? Frigate doesn't remember the password to log in. So lets move on past that era. No doubt it was a great era but the past is the past...

Seriously, everyone knows he used to play pro fastpitch. That's ALL he talks about!! His lessons consist of him talking about his glory days and him showing you how he can throw a riseball. The girls are standing around half the time. Good dude, but not for me.
