Look at Eteamz, they all still need players! LOL

When are these Dads going to realize that 100 teams and 400 players doesn't mix!

I wonder how many of those teams are sitting there w/ their dd and Asst. Coaches dd and noone else.

If you've had tryouts every weekend in Aug and still don't have a team, it may time to look at combining w/ another team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

prdpop you are sooooo right!! that's why my assistant and i only held 2 tryouts before we pulled the plug.......my DD went to 5 other tryouts other than ours and each one had very low turnouts other than the returning players. not sure about in your area but in NWI i think some of the watered down teams might have been eliminated.......

I don't think the watered down daddy teams were eliminated at all. You have a couple new teams out of Union Twp, and another out of Valpo. That is 30-45 roster spots to spread the already watered down talent over.

I think I even saw a team called the Zoom in there. Have we officially run out of names??? :)

We already have way too many 'B' teams in NWI. Can someone please put together a program where the elite of NWI can play 'A' softball from 10U to 18U please?

We have become the home of bad 'B' softball.

Fastpitch... None of those teams came to fruition. It looks like its the same ole thing... And if they want to play b ball let them... Nor every girl us looking for a scholarship.. they just want to play. It's good for the sport.

I definitely support each girl who wants to play fastpitch softball at any level. Don't miss the point I was trying to make. My issue with NWI is they have never been able to come up with a consistent option for girls who want to play at the 'A' level without a hour plus commute to central Indiana or Illinois. Instead, they are setting a record for the number of daddy ball teams.

Maybe that is what the NWI WSA will eventually develop into.

Isn't the new team out of valpo an "A" team? From what I have heard they have a non daddy ball team. So the NWI sox, crownpoint, and valpo Phoenix are "B" teams?

They are a brand new team with girls who have never played together...I wouldn't call them A until you see them play. The first years are going to have a battle as they transition to 12's. I would say that goes for cp, sox and phoenix as well though I don't know who they all picked up in the off-season.

Although we are still looking for a couple players on each of our teams, we have an updated roster for each team on our website.

fastpitch fool- i think what you are asking for is what the NWI Sox are trying to do...... for the most part their teams are run by people who don't have kids on the teams. they are looking at the "BIG" picture as far as exposure for players who want to take their game to the highest level. they do this by taking part in mostly ASA and USSSA tournaments. it might not be the "BEST" in the area for girls looking for "A" ball right now but give it time and it could very well be there.........
