2011/12 is getting started soon....who are THE 12/11u teams?

by 10GatorCoach » Sat Nov 19, 2011 12:30 am

Local colleges will attend some HS games, but if u were a college coach would u go to a HS game where u may see 1 player u have interest in or a travel tournament where they will play multiple games and u may see 20+ players? Seems like a pretty obvious answer. Not to mention that in some states (like here) HS and college seasons run concurrently. Just my observation and the littleexperience I have had w/ a few girls.

Looking......you are really raining on the parade here..!! Oh, and by the way, one out of twenty five 12U "A" players do go on to play D1 or D2 ball.... If you make it to 16U, one out of ten..!

That is so true!!!!! I wonder how many DD parents/coaches are prepared for the "ultimate let down" of their DD not wanting to play anymore or not making a college team? Are they preparing ($$$$) for sending their DD to college without softball? Probably not.... Are they spending all their money on hitting, pitching, strength/speed, etc and within 6 years won't be able to pay for anything when the "free ride" isn't there? Hummmm.... I wonder..... :? :? :?

Folks, these are 11 and 12 year old girls!!!! I would love to see some of these DD parents faces in 5 or 6 years when their sweet DD wants to play another sport or actually gets interested in boys.....  Folks, have a beer and relax and enjoy your daughters for who they are.

Glad to hear, we will definitely have to make it up for a game this year. FC should be very tough....B-ball is going ok, 1 freshman..4 sophs..1 junior..1 undersized senior softballer, could be a long season but should be ready come Feburary..! 8-)

Any tourneys (or round robins) planned for the Crown Point Dome that anyone knows of? It sure beats going to that dump in Lafayette.

I dont think you have any idea how much work has been put into that facility every year for improvements. It is better than ever now and we take complaints and suggestions seriously and apply them to the improvements. We have plenty of coaches and teams that appreciate what we do for them there and you are in the minority with your slanderous and ignorant remark
