2011/12 is getting started soon....who are THE 12/11u teams?

by Wagner » Wed Oct 19, 2011 6:20 am

wow mygirloryourgirl!!........i'm gonna have to agree with softball freak in thinking you MUST have someone on frazier's team! losing a couple of outfielders and the #2 catcher???? tell us how you really felt about those who left..........i seem to remember the 2 catchers splitting time pretty much 50/50, one girl being the starting 3rd baseman all year long, another taking over the lead off position in the spring, and finally my DD splitting time between RF and 1B........oh and lets not forget the great pitcher/SS that left the team early spring........or do you want to try and say she was a bench warmer?? remember, there are some who left that team and have no bad feelings and aren't afraid to set the record straight when need be!

Wagner - I picture you standing in the corner, tapping your foot, and looking like tweety.

All in good fun!

Wow! I heard about this forum from a friend of mine and just had to join. Softball_freak does have some good assessments of what is going on here in NWI. After reading, I do agree with softball_freak and Wagner that mygirloryourgirl is propobably from the Crown Point Bulldogs 00. Also, Wagner is right on the "missing" players from last year's team. I saw the Bulldogs 00 play this past weekend in Kankakee and I noticed they were missing some of their best players from last year's team...one of two starting pitchers, one of two catchers, and 3rd base. Also, Wagner states the lead off hitter and his daughter left. That's five starting players (from Wagner is saying)! Sounds like something is going on over there. Maybe Daddy Ball? From what I hear, Team Energy is supposed to have a good squad, but are wasting their time playing in B team tourneys. We'll see how good they are once they play the Raiders Black or Outlaws 99. Team Oak is supposed to have a soild squad. I heard they beat the Crown Point Bulldogs 99 team a couple weeks ago. Just like Team Energy, let's see how they do against Raiders Black or Outlaws 99.

Why is everyone all up in arms about a team that no one is mentioning to be one of the best? Did your daughter not make the team?

If your talking about the Crown Point Bulldogs 00, no one with half a brain would DARE mention them as being one of the best in this area. As far as my daughter goes, I wouldn't dream of letting her even tryout for that team. Heard way to many bad things over the years, especially that it's big time daddy ball. No concern of mine, just throwing it out there for all to listen and absorb for future seasons.

Wow, that got ugly for a minutes. If you have an issue with a coach, please speak with him person to person. This isn't the place!

Anyways, kudos to the teams from NWI who are going out and challenging their players against the best teams they can find. Thumbs up to you.

And for your coachs who are staying in the B's, and stealing trophies by run ruling teams who are younger or less experienced. Well, shame on you, quite frankly!

I love the fact that there are teams going into Illinois and winning, (sorry charlie sheen), against some of the top ASA teams there. Honestly, they would have been winners no matter what the score was.

Who got more out of the weekend? The Raiders by going out and playing the Outlaws 99, or Bulldogs 99, who run ruled a bunch of younger and less experienced teams?

Just saying!

Bucket Sitter...FYI...I have no issues with any coaches. As I stated before "No concern of mine, just throwing it out there for all to listen and absorb for future seasons". So I have the right to post what I want to. If you don't like it, ignore it and don't complain.

On a nicer note for you, I totally agree with everything else in your last post.

It almost seems that everytime a team run-rules a lesser team, that particular team seems to play down to the competetion, and just might get a surprise butt kicking in the following game(s).

but then we can't hide behind the computer! I think there is an element of daddy ball in all of softball. Even the paid coaches have their favorites and treat them differently. If you have to tell everyone you are fair, odds are you aren't. That goes for all coaches..daddies or not. Go 12u- we are off to a roaring start.. keep it up. They are already rolling bats on the 10u thread.
