dads' teams

by BenAround » Wed Mar 02, 2011 3:16 pm

I will apologize for Joe. He is a bad man that sits in a little room in Texas.

He prepares his kids to...kick ass and take names. Whatever the hell that means.

I feel more sorry for them than the OP actually.
I think, that I shall try to do the utmost to be new today

I won't appoligize for Joe because quite frankly he doesn't deserve that kind of respect from us. He mistakens "spending time with his daughters" as berating those that are knowledeable and with experience. He feels that those dad's that step up because someone may have challenged his belief as to what they feel is right for the TEAM and not DD is absolutely wrong. So to appoligize for Joe is a lost cause because it would be an insult to him. Rather, I will thank those of you that have experience, knowledge, and passion for the game that have stepped up to a completely thankless job (at times) and tried to do what was best for the girls and not the girl.

If you're going to take up valuable time to write an essay about Joe, at least take a minute or two with spell check.

Joe I may have missed your response so I will ask the question again. Have you ever coached a travel softball team?

To answer the question in regards to why are more women not coaching?

There are a lot of women coaching, they don't out number the men but they are still coaching. The college players maybe be working on their careers and waiting for their DD's to start to play. To play in College at any level D1-NAIA you must be a leader and they are not intimidated by loud fans, coaches, or umps. They grew up experiencing that at some point in time.

You don't have to play to coach. A lot of great athletes can play but CAN'T coach. In Indiana we are seeing more female coaches at the younger levels. Checkout 10U-12U Gators, Edge and Xtreme all have female coaches. As far as the older groups go we will have to wait and see.

Hey Joe.....Real men can handle their women standing beside them. It's the weak boys that try to hold their wives back and send them to the kitchen. The answer to what's for dinner would be.....I don't know what are you cookin!!!!

I'm not sure I understand the question...? You're asking Joe to provide compensation because he's gifted? Sounds like some sort of reparations to me...and I'll politely decline.

You bring up spell check?? Pfffffffffft!
Last time I checked, an essay consists of more than one paragraph. This coming from a man who earlier in the thread said he didn't understand the question, when in fact, there wasn't a question. Not even a rhetorical one.

What now? You gonna call me Sally, Pendejo, Pancho, Snowflake, Suzy....
I'm shaking. :D

Something you said applies here...."Shut the hell up, you frickin' idiot!!"

A not so wise man named Joe also said, "You earned it and now you get to wear it." How ironic. :D

Oh yeah, what's for dinner?!!

I'm pretty sure you're wrong on this.

An essay is a short piece of writing which is often written from an author's personal point of view. Essays can consist of a number of elements, including: literary criticism, political manifestos, learned arguments, observations of daily life, recollections, and reflections of the author. The definition of an essay is vague, overlapping with those of an article and a short story. Almost all modern essays are written in prose, but works in verse have been dubbed essays (e.g. Alexander Pope's An Essay on Criticism and An Essay on Man). While brevity usually defines an essay, voluminous works like John Locke's An Essay Concerning Human Understanding and Thomas Malthus's An Essay on the Principle of Population provide counterexamples.

I don't see anything here about number of paragraphs...In fact, note the word "brevity".

Brevity: 1. The quality or state of being brief in duration. 2. Concise expression; terseness. [Latin brevit s, from brevis, short; see brief.]

A one paragraph essay, brief and concise, could be the perfect essay.

One must conclude that, "Last time I checked, an essay consists of more than one paragraph" is a false statement. Please re-submit your response...
