Just heard they looked to be set up for a certain team to have a good shot at a bid! Although doesn't appear to have worked!

Just glad to see Indiana teams still around on the final day when rosters were affected by the high school All-Star tournament. High school ball during travel season??? :x Can we play travel during high school? HE77 NO! How about a Friday night dbl header under lights for the all-stars instead of getting into our bracket play of tournaments? Just sayin!

Killer, you are dollar on. I wouldn't want my kids to miss the All Star game, as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, but it crippled us on Saturday. Kids battled hard, losing 2-1 twice Saturday to two teams that won bids, but just could not overcome missing 1st, 2nd, 3rd and CF, who are also our 1-4 hitters in the order. Summer season is too short to give away a weekend if you have any aspirations of qualifying for a big National. Glad we were not planning on Premier as our final destination.

On the subject of the high school all-star game, I proposed an idea to a member of the ICGSA committee that he said he would consider passing along for a vote.

What do you all think of having the all-star game the Sunday following the high school state finals? Since the all-star game is not an IHSAA event, it is not bound by the Sunday restrictions of the IHSAA games. Obviously if the finals are rained out, things might get tricky, but if both events are held on the same weekend, ASA and other organizations could plan to start qualifying events the weekend following to ensure that all teams participating had all of their players present.

Thoughts???

The all star game is really a two day event with the practice and banquet the night before the games. The sunday game is a good idea, being that the event is not IHSAA sanctioned as you stated.

So, any question whether these teams will go PGF and/or ASA for Nationals? What about the other age divisions?
