My dd is moving to 16U for the 2011-2012 Season. The 14U team she played on is pretty good and we are planning to transition to ASA/Premier and Showcase/Exposure Tourneys. I know a lot of Showcase/Exposure tourneys are invite only so we are gonna have to prove ourselves to get invites. With us being a first year 16U team what are the best options for us.
I also am aware that there are limited bids for USA/ASA Nationals so is Premier the next best option or is it limited as well.

From what I've seen, with very little time even being exposed to this stuff, if you're not a name brand team, i.e., Dreams, Shockwaves, Magic, you're going to have a tough time getting into any of the decent tournaments. In many cases when you're an unknown entity they look at ASA results as to whether or not to let you in. So if you're making the move from 14U to 16U and haven't played ASA, the deck is stacked against you.
We have managed to get into some of these higher profile tournaments with a little help from some of the name brand coaches. Sometimes, just knowing the right people goes a long way. Now after we got in, we've been pretty successful, and that opens other doors.
If you know someone drop a dime. If not, some of these "showcases" are not that difficult to get into. Get in those, be prepared, win, compete. That will open other doors for you.
First and foremost, make sure you have a team that can compete on the showcase circuit. The last thing anyone wants to do is waste one of their 5 games beating a team 12-0. That doesn't do you or your opponent any good.
