Final Four were:

Dreams 94
Akadema
Diamond Chix
Xplosion

I know Akadema lost 1st game in bracket play and fought back all Sunday, winning 4 games.
Dreams and Xplosion were battling still in the final game of the winners bracket. Talked with the Chix and Akadema coaches, and both said that their teams were suffering from CHS (cant hit s*&^) syndrome. Little nippy in the morning, but warmed up to be a nice weekend of softball.

Didn't really get a chance to see the Xplosion or Dreams play, but watched the Chix and Akadema play several times. The Chix looked really good at times and you can see that they want to pound the crap out of the ball, pitching is iffy. Akadema might be the fastest team in the state. 1-9 will steal everytime they get on. I heard they stole over 40 bases during the weekend. They aren't really a threat with the deep ball, but have a lot of line drive type hitters. They have really good pitching, with 2 of them being lefties. They were fun to watch and drove the defense crazy when they were on base. It was a fun weekend to watch softball.

So are these the new power teams? Aren't the Dreams and Explosion 1st year 16's?

Those results from the Monster Mash don't surprise me at all......from what I know and have seen, the Dreams '94 and Explosion '93 are two of the hardest working programs out there..! Congratulations to both teams, there are 3-4 other first year 16u's that have the potential to compete well in this division.!

Missing these teams:
Shockwaves93 (Werner)
Gators
Indiana Chaos (Conklin)

I think there will be these teams as well as the top 4 from the weekend compete next summer for the USA/ASA Bids for the state.
