Okay knuckleheads, let's straighten out a couple of things:

1) The Monster Mash is the PGF tournament that was held at Midwest this weekend.
2) The Monster Mash Smash was the NSA tournament that was held at HSE this weekend.

Big Blue Nation, you must be mistaken. According to a post in the "Tryouts" section, Indy Crush - Blue won the Monster Mash (Smash) without a #1 pitcher. But it sounds like you are saying they finished 3rd?

The Indy Crush (Blue) 14U team is seeking a #1 pitcher. After a very successful fall campaign, we need an A level #1 to lead our staff of quality pitchers. Winning our last tournament at the Monster Mash and going 27 and 8 as a first year team has been a nice start to the 2013-14 season.

At the monster mash smash, they had bracket play broke into 2 divisions. Diamond division was the winners bracket and ruby division was the losers bracket. Indy crush 2000 beat the angels in that to win the winners bracket title.
Indy crush blue beat Fairmont fury 6-3 to win the losers bracket title.
Every title won is something to be proud of!!
It's all in what your used to and what your expectations are. I would like to congratulate both teams on their title wins. I just went to see some good softball. There were some very talented players and a lot of fun being there to see most of the action.

Nope, not sure exactly who put them out but they did not make it. They were one of the teams expected to be in the championship game but I think they were sent home during final 8 play.

Bottom line is that the 12U division of the mash had 18 very good teams. Anyone who watched the 12U division got to see some very good softball. Congrats to the 2001 Mafia for battling out of the loser's bracket and winning. They are a very good team. The Shockwaves also looked good. The Gators 02 team represented the younger age group well and beat some talented older teams. Those coaches have done a great job reloading that team.

Midwest did a great job with the fields in spite of the weather on Saturday and the officiating was very good. Only real complaint would be the 30 minute to 1 hour wait at the concession stands.

Looking forward to playing in Columbus this weekend. Another great lineup of teams.

Was a tough weekend for us (Beverly Bandits) after 2 great weekends in Chicago, but a very good tournament with some very good teams!!

Bandits 12u went 3-2 on weekend at Monster Mash with wins over Dreams 01 and Gators Heim in pool and Impact in bracket. Our 2 losses came to Ohio Storm and Ohio Lasers. Both were great games, but Storm and Lasers just played better. Looks like a great year for 12U softball in the Midwest! Can't wait to get back to practice in January.

Congrats to Mafia 01 and good luck to everyone this year and into the future!!!!!!!!

Oops sorry Gator coach after a second look I see it was dreams 01 that Red Alert beat. Great tourney lots of great competition girls having fun playing softball. Lots of close games we had two go into tie breaker from what i saw none of these teams should be hanging their heads. Going to be a fun spring and summer.
