Iowa ASA does not ask all the coaches to be certified and background checked like the South California Association does . I do think it is a good first step eventhough this policy should not replace parents doing their homeworks in regards to possible future coaches and teams.
That being said, I still do not understand what aspects of the background will disqualify a coach from being on an ASA championship roster. Will the criterions be association-specific?
Is anyone in the know? And if so, where can we get the information.
