by sportzjunky » Thu Mar 27, 2008 12:45 pm

Kind of forgot about this team but remembered they won 60+ games in a row and had some phenom pitcher that was border line 60.... what is that teams(and stud PI's) current status? Anyone?

12U ASA Order of Finish - 2007

1st Victory USA Cypress, CA 7-0
2nd Lakewood Ladies Lakewood, CA 8-2
3rd Corona Angels-D Corona, CA 5-2
4th TNT Yukon, OK 8-2
5th The Next Level Encinitas, CA 4-2
5th Ohio Slammers Canton, OH 4-2
7th San Jose Lady Sharks San Jose, CA 6-2
7th Salinas Storm Salinas, CA 4-2

The spirit, the will to win, and the will to excel are the things that endure.
These qualities are so much more important than the events that occur.

They are still together at 13u playing an aggressive 14u schedule. Playing some 16u also I believe. They used to have a pretty well updated website on eteamz that gave their schedule . Needless to say a great group of played . I'm from Ohio but did not see them last year . They are nearly 4 hours north of us also. Frankly we are not in their league quite yet. Just as they are chasing those above them on the natl level we are chasing them as hard as possable here in Ohio. Was'nt even the games they lost very close ? Give us a replay of the pool play game Spazdad --- I've heard their coach is a character , did he go off or something ? MD

thanks for the replay . I was glad to see an ohio team show they can compete well at the natl level. looks like they added 2 or 3 players to their roster . the coach said they did'nt have the depth to battle the big org's with 14-15 player rosters. MD your kids must be very coachable, got them to not chase the rise like other teams were doing. She only gave up 3 combined to the Ladies and V-usa.

Ohio Slammers will be attending Midland as a 13U. Just got the berth last week at HOF tourney. Watched them last week against a STRONG 16U team and they continue to look very good.

Both Ohio entries did well last year in Roseville (top 10), and hopes are high for another strong showing this year!
