The Texas Storm Elite Organization

[Greg Raley]

Heybucket,

Because so many things have been said about one of our Storm Elite teams, I thought it necessary to respond in an open, and out of the shadow kind of way. The Texas Storm Elite organization is stable and focused. There is no team in this organization even remotely close to folding. To the contrary, we have long term goals of dedicated service, that will help many devoted young ladies achieve their softball dreams. The truth is that any team worth it's salt will endure testing. Testing produces a stronger bond among team members, and we wish absolute success upon all other teams who are trying to build better young people.

The Seven Principles of the Texas Storm Elite Girls Fastpitch Softball Organization.
1. Build a true team of true team players who selflessly apply their talent, in whatever role that benefits the whole.
2. Build a powerhouse. “Building the powerhouse” is about gathering equally talented girls and allowing them to compete, win or lose, based solely on performance.
3. Follow a systematic approach to player and coach development.
4. See the end from the beginning. Set short term, mid range, and long term goals.
5. Respect the competition. Your team is only as good as the competition, so do not tear them down.
6. Build the booster club. Parents have a huge effect upon the success or failure of teams. Parents should create a positive environment for the team to grow.
7. Love one another. Be loyal to one another. Put others before yourself.

The Texas Storm Elite has four teams in it's organization:

Texas Storm Elite '98 It's a 1st year, 12u team coached by Tim Sitka.

Texas Storm Elite '97 2nd year 12u, coached by Ray Vaughn.

Texas Storm Elite '96 !st year 14u, coached by Christa Raley.

Texas Storm Elite 16u 2nd year 16u

These teams are not farm system teams. They are allowed to stay together and grow.

Next August, we will be adding a new 16u Storm Elite exposure team. We will be looking for good people and coaches who want to rise to the top. If your player wants to tryout for any Storm Elite team, you will need a parent/player reference from a former coach.

God Bless,
Greg Raley
