I was in LA working and saw this news article on TV. Apparently a So Cal pitcher was injured taking a line-drive to the head.

Although she was wearing a face mask her injury was bad enough to require surgery. She now has a titanium plate in her head.

Really sobering...

A bit sobering. So glad she wore a mask. Even though I heard colleges won't recruit infielders or pitchers who wear a mask, my daughter will continue to wear one. Her life is more important than a college scholarship.
