There were lots of doubts when we dropped that first bracket game. We had to win two Saturday night and then the eight on Sunday. But thank you very much. Did ya'll play this weekend??

No play this weekend, had a much needed break, now we are off to Killeen.

Lets Face it Sneaky Cleats are tough whether it is the first game of the day or the last. Their short stop is one of the most intense players i have ever seen. But it does not stop there, try to find a gap in their outfield, or a hole in their infield. Tourneys like this are what make our DD true A players. Sneaky Cleats have nothing to be ashamed. Their players left it on the field, and made their parents and coaches proud. I am not a parent of this team, but enjoyed every minute of the nail bitting games these to teams played. Thanks to both teams for the privilage to watch top notch softball.

Yes sir big billy, they have no holes and even are deep enough to be able to pinch hit for their #2 hole hitter towards the end of the game. That's depth. I believe the shortstop popped her shoulder out of place swinging the bat. That's a first for me and I can only hope that she is OK. I wouldn't doubt if she wanted to stay in and bat. #11 scared everybody on our side to death with that foul home run she hit in ITB. It is a credit to our pitching staff to hold an explosive team like them to two runs in two games.

The Shortstop is my DD and what she did while swinging is called shoulder subluxation. A shoulder subluxation is a temporary, partial dislocation of the shoulder joint. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint. The ball of the upper arm bone (humerus) is held into the socket (glenoid) of the shoulder blade (scapula) by a group of ligaments. It's caused by looseness around the joint. Unfortunately, this was not the first time. She is fine, just a little sore and should be okay with ice, ibuprofen and shoulder strengthening exercises. Thanks for your kind comments and concerns.

The "jerk" that just did...His DD may not be mediocre...but the "jerk" definitely is...and props to you for calling him out.

Thanks Joe...I get real tired of these failed athletes that could not hold a candle to these girls, talking smack about a kid. We need to remember to keep it cool when talking about a child. Coaches and parents are fair game, but if you don't have anything nice to say about the kids, then keep your fat trap shut... If it was his kid, and I don't know this jerk or his child, he would be really pissed...Esp makes me mad talking about a couple of kids that came out to help a team so they could play...See ya on the dirt...

Pancho...my inbox is full of sugar from those who like it when Joe stands up to any jerkola who would call VTD participants a bunch of "cesspool B teams"...Go back and read my posts (see Jemima) and see who's standing up for ALL softball players...not just the "elites".

Kinder, gentler? Not a chance...
