Umpires are always inconsistant. None of us could figure out why there was no water or chalk put on the fields. I had to take a shower to knock all of the dirt off of me Saturday night. Pretty sure every game had at least ten minutes added on just from umpires calling timeouts during the dust devils.

Glory Naudin double dips Mean Green to win 16A National qualifier! TPS was not a factor; went out early this morning! Texasugly1 would have lost his astibula!

The Blues weren't great but we've seen much worse. I saw one coach get tossed because he was arguing balls and strikes, that's just stupid on the coaches part. Everyone has to make adjustments to the strike zone in every game, that's nothing new.
It seriously looked like the games were being played in the desert though, dust clouds from one field would make it all the way across the entire park and stop other games. One of our parents had heard that the city will allow them to water the grass (so it can grow) but not the dirt because it's a waste of water :o Solution: Add $5-$10 to each teams entry fee to pay for water to be used.
Striping? Maybe during the first games of the day but I never saw Chalk after that.
Quite a few college coaches roaming around though, that's a good sign for all these teams that are playing up and those that decided to hold off on going Gold.
Congrats to Glory for Qualifying.
My daughter is perfect, she knows everything. Just ask her.

Just curious if there were any surprises. Early exits or teams that were there in the end that weren't expected to be?
