TX Teams @ 12U HOF

by 4theloveofthegame » Tue Jun 15, 2010 6:49 am

Congrats to all that made it to the HOF this year. Houston came out on top as many had thought. These are just ones opinions from wathcing these teams play this past weekend!

Tx Storm Elite: Played great all weekend. Should make alot of noise at Bloomington. Awesome team speed, play small ball very well and solid "D". Have a legit shot at finishing in top 5.
Tx RedHots: Played well have played better. Another Texas contender at Bloomington. If they get hot can play with the best around. Great team speed, good pitching and well coached. Have a legit shot at finishing in top 5 but top 10 seems more realistic.
Tx Fusion: This team at the beggining of the year was not on the radar but has to be the pick to go farther than any other north Texas team in Bloomington. Playing very well as of late. Great team chemistry, well coached. Top 25.
TX High Voltage: Played well but have seen them play better. Catch them while hot in Bloomington and could knock off some of the top tier teams. top 15.
Tx Ice 97: Probably finished where they should have middle of the pack. If they catch lightning in a bottle in Bloomington could make a nice run but not enough to beat top CA teams.
Tx Glory: Biggest disappointment of the year. Played like an average B team getting run 12-0 and going to 2-2. Coach and mom yelling and cussing at each other during game for all to see. Teams in disarray and from the sounds of it may implode. If they make trip to Bloomington look for lack luster performance. What a shame it is to see how this team has regressed.

Congrats to all again who made it and especially to Storm Elite and RedHots.

What happened to Glory did they qualify for Nationals? They had some of the best pitching & pound for pound some of the best athletes. They look like they could be a very dangerous team.

I heard through they Qualified to Dallas Metro barely beating their younger 98 sister team. Pitching has been getting hit really hard, do have some great athletes, but coaching and lack of playing like a team will kill them as it has all year and last year. This team used to be one of the best in Texas now they are middle of the pack. Maybe they can recruit a new coaching staff for the sake of the girls moving forward, get rid of a few cancers and get back to the elite level they used to be on. They used to battle our Houstons best week in and week out.

I'm on the phone with them right now...letting them know your recipe for success. What do you think about their bleacher coaches? Are you available? Where do they send the application?

What happened to them is what happens to a lot of teams...you have parents who think their kids should be playing this or playing that and not willing or able to give the team time to gel. Too many parents out there who think they know it all and yet aren't willing to step on the other side and make a difference. They continue to undermine the coaches and are unwilling to take a hard honest look at their DD's weaknesses and seriously work on them. They choose to overlook those weaknesses and focus their energy on "the coach did this, played this person here, didn't let DD bat..." Just like most folks, they look for the quick fix and when the going gets tough, they bail out!!! Seen this happening more and more and we wonder which generation should be labled "generation now"????

JOE: We are talking about them getting real coaches, not the ones they have now who have done nothing nor the parents in the stands who have not a clue either. They need some real coaching, talent gets you only so far. They need a coach who will step up and tell all the parents their place, not one who lets a parent cuss him out in the dugout and continue to allow that parent to be on the team. The parents can not run a team or the demise will start just like it has for Glory 97. It is a shame for those girls that this has happened but with no structure, discipline nor leadership what do you expect. You add in kids from Sweet Gold who never had any of these qualities and you get Sweet Glory Gold.

Good luck to all at Nationals especially all the Houston area teams.

Their lead off batter was one of the best I have seen in 12u & they had some good pitching.

Mean Green - Prince Joseph after Nationals + parents/players knowing team will disolve in late August = King Dick all over again.

King Dick??? Is this guy still around? I mean give credit where credit's due, this guy is a survivor. Of course any mom or pop that would hook their wagon to this guy's deserves a slap upside the head.
