14u ASA nationals or 16u IFA nationals

by frito_burrito » Mon Jul 26, 2010 5:01 pm

obviously everyone made this decision several months back, but what would you do?
which one would be better for a 14u team. cost and competition the primary factors.
personally im glad we took the path we did. though it wasnt the cheapest route.

JMHO but IFA does not have the competition that most of us are used to seeing every weekend. We played one IFA tournament, qualified for nationals and decided ASA was the way to go.

Wrong Sting. Sting White (Christian) is going to ASA Southern Nationals in scenic, cool, cosmopolitan Ridgeland, MS this week. Sting Blue (Morse) pursued the IFA tourney in Beaumont. We figured since IFAS has not updated the list of qualified teams for 14U IFA Natls in Mustang, OK for several months that it was an abandoned cause. Plus, any "National" tournament you can qualify for in a one day quickie in September is not worth the gas money. Just MHO
