Because of the things you say about other teams and kids. Get off the Storm Elite they are done. You have been jealous or eat up with them for like a year???

Yes sir Skipper. But before I go, it was really brought on by people like you that thought the Storm Elite was all that.. They never lived up to the expectations that all of you parents made them out to be, especially with all that talent that came to the first tryout and all of the people that went running quicker than I have ever seen by any team. They were doomed from the getgo.

Have a nice fall season Skipper. See you on the diamond. Oh yeah, my dd will not be playing in the same division as yours this fall. Oh well, you can still have a nice fall Skipper.

Doittoit,

The only reason I am responding to your rant is in defense of those girls.
You are wrong! The girls on that team were all that!
Those girls were awesome! As a 1st year team here are some of their accomplishments.
Won their first tournament right at the start of the Spring, at the competitive Sudden Impact tournament. They won the Houston Championship and qualified for ASA Nationals.
Took 3rd at the Bombers tournament.
Finished well at the Fireworks tournament.
The failure of the team was not the players fault. It is mine.
A new 16u Storm Elite team will return one day when there is a committed coaching staff to build it.
But for you, as an adult, to dance on the grave of a young girls softball team is very immature.

No kidding, the Storm Elite 14U (the object of your hate) was very successful, one of only 5 Houston 14U teams to appear at ASA Nationals, and a strong team throughout the year. In fact I believe all three Storm Elite organization teams, 16U, 14U, 12U, all qualified for ASA nationals, something no other organization in Houston accomplished in 2010. The top 14U teams in Houston in 2010 always included the Sudden Impact, Kaos, Peppers/Phantomz (depending on who #27 played for ;) ), Outlaws, the Storm Elite, and forgive me for any others I forgot to mention.

The 16U Storm Elite was a huge success in 2010 and no doubt the best Houston 16U team hands down. The 12U Storm Elite dominated every tournament they entered in 2010, and are carrying on into 14U this year.

Picking on the Storm Elite does nothing except to show how poor a sport you are, and how sad it must be for your daughter to have you as a parent interfering in her sport. If your daughter could not make this team, or can't make some future team, take her someplace where she can compete and be happy and successful. If you ran with the other parents as you describe, maybe you should have hung around to be a part of the success.

Greg and fastpitchforever, if you will re-read my post above, I did not say it was any of the girls fault. I am merely saying that the parents of the team, going all the way back to the first tryout, were very cocky about the team. For it to last a year and a half has nothing to do with the girls on the team but the parents and the coaching staff. I have never seen familys run from a team quicker than they ran from your team Greg. In fact, I think the girls on the team did an excellent job and represented the Storm Elite really well. It is not the girls that decide to bolt in mid-season. Good luck when that 16U team re-forms. I hope you get a group of more humble parents that will stick around for a while.
