TPS 98 - Should be strong by the finish they had and the new talent added to the team -
They lost a couple of very talented girls from the summer but got some
very talented girls from tryouts

POWER - Finished strong and should be very strong this fall. Picked up some talented girls during tryouts to go with the talent they have

SMASH - I have not heard how that did in tryouts, I believe they lost a girl or two ???

MIZUNO- Have not heard much on them. They were strong at finish of the year.

STORM ELITE 98 -- Heard they picked up some talented girls will have to wait and see how they do on the field

Are any of the 99 teams out of Houston going to make any noise in 12U come spring? Any other 99 teams elsewhere?

well I know now Dbat has what like 5 12U teams.
I know one of the Glory teams 99 has lost like 4 to 5 players.
And do the good 12 u teams just move up to 14u in the fall or stay down.

SMASH - Lost three including their bracket catcher, starting third baseman and second baseman. Only had one girl show up for their tryout and currently only have 8 on roster.

STORM ELITE 98 -Picked up a talented pitcher, very speedy gal from Humble Lady Stros and the Smash's third baseman. Coupled with the existing team; should be stronger this year under the Storm Elite Org.

Mizuno 98 is now 98 Texas Fusion.....They played in Southlake this past weekend in a 14u tourney. They were one of the last 98 teams to be eliminated if not the last one.

Mizuno/Fusion, you should be proud of being the last standing out of 3 "98" teams in a 14U tourney. Good job.

The poster was referring to Houston Mizuno.....nobody cares about Mizuno 98 or 98 Texas Fusion...there are no strong teams in DFW this year.

I would have to agree with the above comment about the lack of high-quality 12U teams in the DFW area. I don't think that it is an issue with talent but more that there are way too many teams in the area when compared with our friends in the STX. This is why come Nationals, DFW doesn't fare as well as other regions.

Too many dads want to have a say with their daughter so they start their own team. The only guarantee with this scenario is that they are habitual visitors to the "looking for a team" section of various websites and will struggle in the big tournaments.

Please note I am from DFW, not STX.

Ain't that the truth in DFW ,If your daughter is the best player on a team something is wrong. You should have 8 more just like her.
