Central Tx. better than N. Tx.???

by playa4life » Sat Mar 05, 2011 4:01 pm

Just to stir the pot a little bit... Now that the softball season has started & HS tournaments are winding down.. So far I've seen/heard top schools in N. Tx. falling to some Central Tx. schools..

Is Central Tx. getting stronger or is N. Tx. getting weaker?? :?:

IDK....Central Texas has seemed to always produce some good teams. Looking at the rankings...and they are just rankings, Several NTX's team are sitting at the top while Central teams are at the bottom. Wonder what happened over the weekend with wins/losses with the top teams?

High school ball is a joke, everyone knows that. But we all know that the cream of the crop is up top in NTX. There are some good teams in central and south Texas. But not as many as north Tx. JMO

Had you watched the Plano vs Stony Point game, you might change your mind about high school ball. It's not always a joke...I think those kids take it pretty seriously.

Gotta say.. I heard Stony Point went up to N. Tx. & pretty much put it on them teams up there... So another question.... Are the "rankings" even worth having??

Stony Point was fun to watch. The Plano game was a battle.

Rankings are fun for conversations and obviously have no impact on the playoffs. Not sure how accurate the collection of data is for the ranking 'system', but it is what it is.
